Shooting Scene Re-enactments

Over the years I've been involved in numerous shooting scene reconstructions where it has been of great benefit to perform a shooting scene re-enactment. A re-enactment is a demonstration of a reconstruction through the use of live actors or animation. By carefully re-enacting the shooting scene (on location if possible) using actors of the same stature, using the same firearms evidence (or the exact type as used in the incident), and carefully controlling as many factors as possible to duplicate the shooting scene a number of things may become apparent concerning the particular elements of a shooting incident. Oftentimes, statements made by one or more of the parties to the incident may be shown to be physically impossible. Particularly in the arena of civil cases, parties to a lawsuit have been willing to come to terms when the statements of a party to the lawsuit have been proven to be false in nature.
